Question:

I bought some ferns from you guys last weekend, their was not a label on them, but i think they are ostrich ferns. They were about a foot and a half tall. After i planted them the wind started to blow, and has blown pretty hard at times the last three to four nights. Now all the stems have broken at the base and are all laying on the ground. So I'm wondering if I cut the stems off at the base will the plant grow new ones, or am i out of luck for this year?

Answer:

We suggest that you let the plant go. It should start sending new growth from the center. At that time, go a head and cut off any old branches or any dead ones.
