Question:

Is is possible to plant a Zelkova Elm and a Gingko within 20 ft of each other? Will it cause slower growth or could it kill either of the trees?

Answer:

Planting them 25 feet apart would be better. You can plant them 20 feet apart, but they will eventually grow together, and you will have to do pruning to keep them from hurting each other. Both of the trees you mentioned are slow growing trees, so it will take a while for them to get to their mature height.
