Question:

I planted burning bushes in full sun on the west side of my house this past spring. The leaves have been slowly turning yellow and falling off. I water them 1 hr. per day with a drip system. Any idea what's wrong with them? Is it possible they are getting too much sun?

Answer:

Burning Bush can handle the full sun if they get a deep watering. Be sure that the plants are getting water and not sitting in water. Check the root ball of your plant to make sure the water is actually soaking down. I know the soils in Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain keep the water on top of the soil and have a hard time penetrating down to the root zone.
