Blueberries can grow here, although it does take a little extra work. They need to be planted in a sunny location that is protected from the afternoon sun. They also need the soil acidified in the area that you plant them. You can do this with the type of fertilizer that you use or the amendments that you put into the soil. You will need to have two different types of blueberry plants to pollinate each other.
