Question:
By Veloy Hill from Spanish Fork, Utah.
I bought a Tinkerbell Lilac tree from you about 3 years ago. They are beautiful and have done well, until this year. One is georgous and then one looks really bad. There are few leaves on it and even fewer blossoms. There are a lot of bare stems which makes it look like it is dieing. Please help me. They are planted on either side of my front porch that faces West.

It sounds like you may have winter damage. Keep watering it and taking care of it to see if any growth still comes on it. You may want to watch to see if the plant that is struggling is more exposed to the elements, has a downspout or water dripping off the roof, or what factor is different from the one that is thriving. Once you find what is going on, we can better advise you.
