AGERATUM

Masses of fluffy flowers throughout the season. Likes average soil. Prefers full sun, but will tolerate light shade. Available in blue, white, and pink

ALYSSUM

A traditional dainty flower for borders, rock gardens, window boxes and hanging baskets. Flowers have a honey like fragrance. Does well in almost any soil. Prefer full sun, but will take light shade. Available in white, pink, purple, and mixed.

AMARANTHUS

Grown for their brightly colored foliage or flowers. Grow in full sun or part shade. Give average soil and water.

ASTERS

The daisy-like flowers bloom midsummer to fall. The petals surround a yellow center. Plant in full sun. Good for cut flowers.

BABY'S BREATH

Plants are uniform in flowering and habit. Ideal for borders and in hanging baskets. Grows best in sun to part sun. Available in pink and deep rose varieties.

BALSAM, TOPKNOT

Double flowers sit above the foliage. Mix includes rose, scarlet, violet and white. Grows 12-14" tall. In our area these grow best in part sun to shade.

BEGONIAS FIBROUS OR WAXED

Attractive in beds, borders, pots, and baskets. Does well in partial to full shade. Plants prefer rich, moist soil. Available in green or bronze foilage with a variety of flower colors.

BROWALLIA

Star shaped flowers on compact, leafy plants. Prefers shade to part shade. Flowers come in blue and white.

CALCEOLARIA, Pocket plants

Tremendous amount of flowering gives a striking autumn accent to the garden. Can be used in pots, containers, and beds. Grow 10-12". Available in Orange, Red, and Yellow.

CALENDULA

Daisy like blooms all summer. Plants are dwarf and compact. Height is 12". Available in Apricot, Orange, Yellow, and Mixed.

CARNATIONS

Large, double blooms on long stems in a variety of colors. Does best in full to part sun. Good as a cut flower.

CELOSIA

Noted for the striking flower heads. Flower heads are extremely long-lasting. Good for cut flowers and dried arrangements. Requires full sun. Grows in almost any garden soils. Used in flower beds and borders and make a good display of color when planted in clumps. Available in plumosa and crested types.

CENTAUREA, BACHELOR BUTTONS

Cheerful, ragged blossoms. Bloom prolifically with little care. Good in beds and for cut flowers. Grow well in cool weather. Tolerate a variety of soils. Drought tolerant plant.

CHRYSANTHEMUM

CLEOME

Fragrant, non fading blooms that are free flowering. Looks like onion plants. Grows 30-36" tall. Come in Sparkler Rose, pink, purple, white, or Queen Mix vanities.

COLEUS

Popular annual for brightening up shady areas. Grown for their beautiful leaf colors. Are admired for their foliage. Easy to grow, and very versatile. Available in Fiji, Black Dragon, Color Pride, Kaleidoscope, and Rainbow Mix varieties. *Note- There are varieties that do well in sun. Look under "Pot Stuffers" for description.

COSMOS

Daisy like blooms. Foliage is delicate and feathery. Does best in full sun. Available in Cosmic Orange, Cosmic Yellow, Ladybird Mix, Seashell Mix, Sunny Gold, Sunny Red, and Sonata Mix.

DAHLBERG DAISY

Small gold flowers cover the fine foliage. Blooms through the summer and into fall. Grows 8" tall. Very heat tolerant. Excellent in baskets.

DAHLIA, DWARF

Early flowering, dwarf varieties available. Bloom prolifically. Large brilliant flowers in every color but blue. Long lasting cut flowers. Requires well drained soil. Full sun, but will tolerate light shade.

DAISY, CHRYSANTHEMUM

PALUDOSUM

Compact 6" plants. White 1&fraq14;" flowers with yellow centers. Good all around use.

MULTICAULE

This mum displays bright yellow, daisy-like flowers on 7" stems. Good all around use.

DIANTHUS

Recommended for pots, containers, and borders. Beautiful flowers grace the dwarf plants. Plant in sun to part sun. Considered an annual in our area, but in most cases the plant has a tendency to be biennial. Available in a variety of flower colors.

DUSTY MILLER

Silvery leaved plants add contrast to the garden. Do best in sunny climates. Good in pots, baskets and borders. Commonly used as an accent plant. Grow 10-12" tall.

FLOWERING CABBAGE (Brassica)

Leaves are wavy edged on compact heads. Heads tend to get the best color when the nights become cool in the fall. Best color can be seen in the center. Plant in full to part sun.

FLOWERING KALE (Brassica)

Heavily fringed or serrated flower heads. The plant has a uniform habit. Heads tend to get the best color in the fall on new growth. Plant in full to part sun.

GAZANIA

Free flowering, daisy like flowers. Excellent plant for hot locations. Flowers close in shade or on cloudy days. Blooms early. Grows 8- 10" tall. Comes in Daybreak Red Stripe, Bronze, Mix, and Pink shades.

GODETIA

Flowers are 2" in diameter. Plants grow 7-8" tall. Comes in a variety of colors. An interesting alternative in the cool season landscape. Growing cool and dry is a must. Good in pots and beds.

GOMPHRENA

Ball shaped flowers. Does well in hot, dry locations. Low maintenance. Grows 10-12 inches tall. Available in Mixed, Purple, Rose, and White varieties.

HELIOTROPE

Fragrant blue flowers on well branched plants. Grow up to 12" tall. Good in beds and in containers.

HYPOESTES

The dots on these plants make them look as if someone has splashed paint on their leaves. Do best in shade. Grow 8-10" tall. Come in red, rose, white, and pink vanities.

IMPATIENS

Bright flowers make this plant the most widely used annual flower for shade. Flowers continue to bloom through out the season. The plants are bushy and compact. Come in a variety of colors. Excellent for borders, edging, window boxes, and hanging baskets. Likes shade to part shade.Prefers rich, moist soils. Available in single or double flowering varieties.

LARKSPUR GIANT

These vigorous growers have abundant flowers. The 48" Delphinium like flowers are on strong, upright stems. An excellent cut flower. Does best in sun to part sun. Re-seeds easily. Come in deep blue, rose, light blue, pink, white, and mixed vanities.

LINARIA

Plant is covered with tiny snap-like flowers. Bloom all summer. Plant in full to part sun. Very narrow green leaves. Best when planted in masses. In the garden it will grow 10" high. Available in blue, rose, speckled pink and yellow varieties.

LISIANTHUS

A unique plant that is good for cuttings. Excellent for late summer and early fall. Flowers are white, pink, blue, sky blue or yellow. Grow 8" tall.

LOBELIA, BEDDING

Plants are covered with small flowers. Do best in shade to partial shade (Crystal Palace can be planted in full shade to full sun). Work well in gardens as edging plants, or in planters as a filler. Plants usually reach 6-8" tall. Available in Cambridge Blue, Crystal Palace, Riveria Series, Rosemond, White, Fountain and Trailing.

MARIGOLDS

ROCK GARDEN

Single blooms. Very dwarf plants, mound shaped. Fern like foliage. Dime sized blooms cover the plant. Use for window boxes, borders, and rock gardens.

DISCO

Large, single flowers on compact plants. Grow 7-10" tall. Available in Flame, Marietta, Red, and Yellow varieties.

JANIE SERIES

Bright pom pom type flowers cover the dark green foilage. Grows 8-10" tall. Excellent garden performer in hot areas. Come in yellow, orange, gold, harmony, and mixed colors.

BONANZA

Large, 2¼" blooms have a protruding crested "eye.". Grow 10-12" tall. available in Flame, Gold, and Yellow.

SAFARI

Large anemone-type yellow flowers on compact plants. Grows 10-12" tall.

SOPHIA SERIES

French Marigold. Compact, double flowers on bushy, compact plants. Height is 10-14".

DISCOVERY

Large, double flowers contrast with the large, deep green leaves. Bloom earlier than other African Marigolds. Grow 12-14" tall. Come in yellow, orange, and mixed.

INCA SERIES

Compact plants with large double flowers. Grow 14-16" tall. Space 12" apart. Available in yellow, orange, gold, and mixed.

LADY SERIES

Large, double flowers. Grows 18-24" tall. Space 12-15" apart. Come in First Lady (yellow), gold, orange, or mixed

MELAMPODIUM

Star shaped, golden yellow flowers. Bushy plants flower all summer long. Heat and drought tolerant. Grow 16-20" tall.

MIMULUS (Monkey Flower)

Tubular, two-lipped blooms of yellow, gold, or red, often splotched with a contrasting color, this warm-season annual is excellent for hanging baskets, containers, and gardens. Grow 6-8" tall. Can be planted in sun to part sun.

MORNING GLORY

2" flowers cover this vining plant that is excellent for hanging baskets, as a ground cover, or to climb things. Thrives in hot, humid areas. Comes in Cardinalis, Heavenly blue and Scarlet O'Hara and a Mini Bar Rose (variegated) varieties.

NASTURTIUMS

Vibrant, semi double flowers are above the rounded leaves on long stems. Best in full sun, in well drained soils. Good in hanging baskets. Grow 10-16" tall in the garden. Comes in Whirlybird Mix, Jewel Mix, and Alaska (Variegated)

NICOTIANA

Tubular, fragrant flowers that attract birds and butterflies. An old favorite for cut flowers. Grows in beds or container. Best in part shade. Grows 15" tall. Comes in antique shades, appleblossom, red, purple, crimson, picotee, lime green, crimson, and mixed varieties.

NIEREMBERGIA

Upright, bell shaped flowers come in blue and white. Narrow foliage. Used for beds, rock gardens, and hanging baskets. A tender perennial. Best in sun to part sun. We grow the heat tolerant varieties.

ORNAMENTAL PEPPERS

RED MISSILE

Tapered, 1 ½" long fruit changes from cream to orange to red. Plants grow 10" tall. Fruit is hot in flavor. Good in pots and landscape.

EXPLOSIVE IGNITE

The long, narrow fruit is ivory to green yellow to orange red in color. Fruit can grow to 1" long. Plant has a unique spreading-mounding habit. Grows 12-14".

MEDUSA

Narrow, cone shaped fruits are 2 - 2 ½" long. Start out ivory then ripen to yellow, orange, then bright red. Fruits are "Child safe". Grows 6-8" tall. Good in pots and landscape.

PANSY

COLOSSUS

The large 3-4" flowers are on a tight, dense plant habit that "stretch" less than other varieties. Blooms well in low light conditions. Available in a variety of colors.

DELTA

Large, faced flowers. Show good heat tolerance for lasting color in the landscape. Perfect for fall or spring plantings. Available in a variety of colors.

MAJESTIC GIANT

The largest flower of the faced pansies. Individual flowers measure 3 ½" across. Come in the following vanities: Blue, Purple, Red and Bronze, Red and Yellow, Red and Rose, Yellow, White, and Mixed.

IMPERIAL

Brightly colored 2 ½" blooms. Grow 4-6" tall. Come in the following vanities: Pink Shades, Silver Princess, Frosty Rose, Antique Shades.

ROC

Large flowers bloom early. Tolerant of heat and cold. Grow 4-6" tall. Blue with light flag and rose.

WATERCOLOR MIXTURE

A pastel mixture of 2 ½" flowers. Features a full range of clear-faced blooms including shades of blue, yellow, pink, apricot-orange, and white.

CRYSTAL BOWL MIXTURE

Beautiful multi-floral type with clear faces (no blotch). Compact, dwarf plants have good heat and cold tolerance. Smaller flowers than the Crowns. No face on these flowers.

PETUNIAS, GARDEN

AVALANCHE

A mounding and spreading habit. Does well in baskets and landscapes. Grow 8-10" tall, and will spread 2-3'.

BI-COLORS

All flowers have a white edge. Grows 8-10" tall.

BRAVO

Large flowers. Uniform plant habit. Grows 6-8" tall.

CASCADES

Large flowers. Trailing habit. Recommended for baskets.

CASCADE DOUBLE

DADDY

DREAM

Compact and well branched. Grow 6-8" in the garden.

FANTASY

Millifloral. ½-1 ½" flower compliment the compact rounded foliage. Mounds 6-8".

FLASH

Large, showy flowers bloom even in low light environments. Grow 10-12".

FROST

These large flowers have a pure white edge that surrounds the central color. Grows 12-14".

HURRAH

A multiflora series that blooms even in low light conditions. Continues to bloom in heat. Grows 10-12".

PRISM SUNSHINE

The best yellow grandilfora petunia. Holds its color throughout the season. Grows 8-10".

SUPERMAGIC

Medium sized flowers on compact well branched plants. Grow 8-10".

ULTRA

Large flowers have a slightly ruffled margin. Grow 10-12".

WAVE

Ground hugging, spreading habit. Plants grow 7" tall, but can spread up to 4'. Comes in pink, purple, rose, and misty lilac varieties.

PHLOX

Star like flowers on very compact plants. Profuse blooms cover these plants. Grows 8-10" tall. Plant in sun to part sun. Available in Twinkles, Palona, and Petticoat varieties.

PORTULACA

Blooms open every morning in the sun close again at night or on heavily cloudy days. The rose like, double flowers come in a variety of colors. Narrow, fleshy leaves. Are useful in rock gardens, borders and in mixed baskets. Require full sun and well drained, rather poor, soil. Come in fuschia, orange, peach, peppermint, pink, scarlet, white, yellow, and mixed varieties.

SALVIA, Splendens

Blooms in tiers around tall stems. Good in mass planting or as a border. Best in sun but will tolerate shade. Good in beds, hanging baskets, and pots. We carry the Argent, Bonfire Elite, Carabiniere Purple, Lady in Red, Sizzler, and Salsa varieties.

RHEA

Deep violet-blue spikes that are more compact than ‘Victoria'. Grows 14-16". Plant often comes back like a perennial.

VICTORIA BLUE

Deep violet-blue spikes are excellent for borders or mass plantings. Grow 18-20" tall. Sometimes a biennial in our area.

SANVITALIA

Golden yellow or orange flowers have a dark center. Foilage is grey green. Best in full to part sun. Versatile plant ideally suited for hanging baskets, containers or bedding.

SCHIZANTHUS

Also known as "Poor Man's Orchid. Cool season annual. Masses of multi-colored orchid-like blooms showy against the bright green, fern-like foliage. Does best in partial to full shade. Grows 10-12' tall. Good in the garden, pots, or mixed baskets.

SNAPDRAGONS

The vivid flower spikes contrast with the green foilage. Range in height from 6" to 36". Tender perennials treated as annuals in our area. Very versatile. Best in full to part sun.

STATICE

Grown mostly for cut or dried flowers, but can be used as a bedding plant. Best planted in full to part sun. Come in separate flowers or in a mix.

STOCKS

The early blooms are very fragrant. Plant has a good branching habit. Popular cool season annual used as a bedding plant and cut flower. Best in part sun.

STRAW FLOWERS, Helichysum

Has large flowers that are good for dried arrangements. Bright formula mixture of red, dark red, bright yellow, pink and white. Double blooms. Grows 12" tall. Best in full to part sun, in well drained soils.

SUNFLOWER, MAMMOTH

Giant plants produce huge flowers and seed heads. Dry seed heads to eat or let the birds eat them. Leave approximately 2 feet between plants. Grow 6-12' tall. Largest flowers and tallest plants are obtained when sunflowers are grown in full sun, in somewhat rich soil kept fairly well watered.

SUNFLOWER (Helianthus)

PACINO

An excellent dwarf sunflower. Good for patio containers and as a bedding plant. A stocky plant with sturdy branches. The large 4-5" flowers look large on this size plant. 12-16" tall. Best in sun.

SUNFLOWER (Tithonia)

MEXICAN

This large bushy garden plant is extremely heat and drought tolerant. Sunflower like flower heads on long stalks. Bloom from July to frost. Can reach 30" tall.

SWEET PEA

EXPLORER MIX

Spike-like clusters fragrant flowers have a long bloom period, strong fragrance, and a broad mix of colors. Compact habit can reach 24" high. Good cut flowers. Pinch out top to encourage good side branches.

THUNBERGIA (Black Eyed Vusan Vine)

This vining plant with dark green foliage has flowers that are 1" across. Comes in orange with eye, yellow with eye, clear orange, and clear yellow. Excellent in hanging baskets, window boxes, or on a trellis. Warm season annual.

TITHONIA (Mexican Sunflower)

TORENIA

Plants make a compact, upright bush of eight to twelve inches in height. The flowers have deep purple blotches on the lower petals with yellow inside. The unique flowers put on a dazzling show in the garden. Good garden performance. Comes in a variety of colors. Excellent for shade. Keep well watered.

VERBENA, GARDEN VARIETIES

Unique flower heads give season long color to beds, pots and containers. Plants thrive in heat and drought. Range in height from 8-20" high.

VINCA

Large, round flowers grow on the vigorous plants. The habit is upright, later spreading when the plant matures. Grows well in dry, hot areas. Tolerates high pollution areas. Needs well drained soil. Very durable annual for all climates. Available in a variety of colors.

VIOLA

Small, pansy type flowers cover these compact, bushy plants. Improved temperature tolerance for both heat and cold. Ideal for fall or early spring planting. Available in Chantreyland, Johnny Jump Ups, King Henry, and Sorbet varieties.

ZINNIAS

Zinnia, elegans varieties

Large, 3" Dahlia-like flowers on stocky, bushy plants. Plant in full sun, in a dry location. Comes in a variety of flower colors. Range in height from 6" to 36" tall. We carry the Dreamland series, Pulcino, Short Stuff, State Fair and Thumbelina.

PROFUSION

Flowers 1-2" in size. Perfect 12" mound. Very disease resistant. Tolerant of heat and humidity. Available in Cherry, Orange, White, or mixed varieties.

STAR, angustifolia

Single flowers. Weather tolerant, mildew resistant. Grows 8-10". Available in Crystal White, Gold, Orange, and Starbright Mix varieties.
